Hello class of '82. I hate that I'll miss the reunion, but hope to read all about everyone on the blog page.
Since leaving Brown I have moved to North Carolina where I attended medical school at Wake Forest from 82-86. While there I met my husband Alex and we were married 2 days after graduation in 86. I did my residency in pediatrics while Alex did his in psychiatry in Winston-Salem, NC. In 1989 I joined a pediatric practice in High Point, NC (originally the "furniture capital of the world" but now we call that China!). I continue to work full time and love what I do. I'm now taking care of the children of my former patients! Alex has a solo practice in High Point and has cut back his hours in recent years so that we can take more time off together. We have a condo in Charleston, SC that we love to escape to whenever possible. In May we will celebrate our 21st anniversary (when did we get so old?).
We have three great kids. Chris, 19, is a freshman at UNC Chapel Hill (go heels!!) He is majoring in Asian Studies and Business. He will spend this summer in Singapore on a summer abroad study program. He is in the Tae Kwon Do club (he's a 4th degree black belt and has been doing this since he was 5), and also in the Adventure Club, a group that takes other students out on hiking, kayaking and climbing trips. Sean, 16, is a sophomore in an early college high school program. He will finish up most of his high school requirements this year and then take college classes at Guilford College for the next two years for dual credit. He is also active in TaeKwonDo and will test for his 4th degree black belt and "master" certification this fall. His interests are more math and science related although he also has loved his philosophy class (maybe he'll be the philosophical physicist!). Katie, 12, is in 6th grade and is mature beyond her years (something about having two older brothers). She also does TaeKwonDo, and plays volleyball for her middle school team. She is in the school chorus and has just begun voice lessons (a diva in the making!).

I will miss seeing all of you, but really look forward to hearing about your lives over the past twenty-five years. As the t-shirt says, for me Life is Good!
