Hello class of 82.I am still in the Chicago area where I moved after Brown, now living in Lake Forest. Don and I will have our 20th wedding anniversary this September! I am also close to my 25th year working at Baxter-except for a year off to complete my MBA at Univ of Chicago. I have been in marketing most of my career, although right now I am running a new product development group of both engineers and marketing folks.
We have three kids, Grace, Jack and Joseph. Grace is 13 and heading to high school-very much interested in girl stuff (i.e. boys, clothes, make-up are the top 3) but running track, playing field hockey and singing. Jack is 11, very funny and creative, and more into nature than sports. Joseph is the image of his dad, love sports-every single one of them, and is very easy-going (which is a good thing being number 3). We also have a large extended family in Chicago-as my husband has 11 brothers and sisters, who provide lots of cousins. My family is still in NJ, and we see each other 4 or 5 times a year, over the holidays, and at the beach for summer vacation.
I am leaving full time work and Baxter, on Jun 1, and am really excited. While my work experience is still fun and challenging-I want to spend more energy at home-with my kids and on personal interests. I am still into crafts and painting, and running. I'll complete my fourth 3-Day 60 mile Walk for Breast Cancer with some friends this summer. I have always done Chicago, but we may branch out next year to another city (if anyone has ever been interested- these are just great experiences).
Will likely miss the reunion, so hope to hear some news on the blog!
