After 25 years of being in the San Francisco Bay Area, I'm currently living in Menlo Park, California with my greyhound, Dulce. My work is split between marketing at a start-up software company (which keeps me on my toes, addressing new & exciting technologies, constantly learning) and teaching stress reduction, based on mindfulness meditation and yoga, at local hospitals (which keeps me grounded, balanced, living in the present). It's a gratifying mix.
Along with Dulce and friends, I spend time hiking in the abundance of open space terrain surrounding us, occasionally get to the beach, and have lots of dog-related play dates. Dulce and I also enjoy spending time raising awareness for greyhound rescue and adoption.
I am very fortunate to have a community of extended family and friends in the Bay Area that includes several Brown graduates -- all of whom I have lived with at some point during the last 25 years, before the spouses and kids arrived on the scene. Diane Hymes and her family live only 30 minutes away; Heidi Sanel and her family live around the block (literally); Jim Tomic ('81) lives across the Bay with his daughter; and Karen Melchior ('83) and her family live 15 minutes south of me. I can't imagine what my life would be like without any of them!
